IAS 2026 Winnipeg meet-up offered art, fun, and connection

With no annual meeting event scheduled for this year, several IAS members decided to arrange an informal meet-up in Winnipeg in August. That brought together nearly 20 of us who traveled from as far away as Florida, Washington DC, and Vancouver for a couple of days of Inuit art and culture, as well as an opportunity to socialize with other collectors.

IAS members gathered around Ningiukulu Teevee’s “Tulugak’s No Point of Return” at the WAG-Qaumajuq.

While this was a largely informal meet-up, we did arrange private tours of extensive Abraham Anghik Ruben and Ningiukulu Teevee exhibits (as well as another exhibit and the vault) at the Winnipeg Art Gallery-Qaumajuq.
